We need to collect some basic information to make this service functional. Although we require a very minimum amount of information the more information you reveal, the easier it will be for people to recognize you. bikemaps will not intentionally give out member information to third parties (i.e. if we get hacked, or someone steals our servers it doesn't make us evil).
